Garden Themed 70th Birthday Cake

On Friday I mentioned I was designing a birthday cake for my mother-in-law's birthday party today. It turned out just darling and I wanted to share some pics with you! My mother-in-law loves gardening and flowers so I decided to go for a garden themed birthday cake.

That cake turned out great. Don't you just love making all those flowers? I haven't done one of those in a long while. I hope it went over and tasted as great as it looked. Well worth your time.

This cake is absolutely adorable! :D Are the little pots fondant as well, or are they tiny terra cotta? I love the little shovel, hose, and flowers blooming everywhere...so cute! My Wilton instructor would be proud. ;)
